COVID-19 and Massage Therapy

  • Masks are still STRONGLY RECOMMENDED by the CMTBC but are optional. Please reach out if you want me to wear one for your treatment.

  • My cancelation policy remains waived at any time for those that must cancel due to sickness.
  • You are still required to sanitize your hands before and after treatment and sanitizer is by the door as well as in the treatment room.

Registered Massage Therapy

Manual therapy that includes manipulation of various layers of fascia and muscle with our without the application of oil, and can include therapeutic techniques to help promote muscle relaxation, destress and general well being.

Evan Vandersluys RMT is a 2018 Graduate of Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT). His studies provided classroom education covering many common conditions and treatment modalities as well as in-depth studies of human anatomy and physiology. The school curriculum also included cadaver lab field trips as well as introductions to various advanced massage modalities such as manual lymph drainage.

As part of his hands-on education, Evan also participated in a variety of outreach opportunities in the local communities. Through experiencing a variety of different clinical environments in an outreach setting, Evan honed his manual skills on various population groups such as university athletes, elderly, cross-fitters, special needs and the general public via school clinic.

In addition, through introductory courses offered in school and after graduation, Evan has developed an interest in myofascial techniques and manual lymph drainage. An introduction to these modalities has given Evan a keen interest in exploring further post-graduate education to learn more about how this can help clients.

As a recent graduate, Evan has experience with numerous conditions and pathologies. Evan can help with anything from musculoskeletal conditions such as strains and sprains to systemic conditions such as stress reduction, pregnancy and fibromyalgia.
