  • Please only arrive 5 minutes to your appointment. Upon entry to my practice space and after treatment you will be required to sanitize your hands with hand sanitizer.
  • Please arrive with no signs of sickness. If unwell please cancel your appointment (even if it’s last minute) there is no late cancellation fee due to sickness.
  • Various options regarding the use of PPE are still available. Please inquire if concerned.

Registered Massage Therapy

Manual therapy that includes manipulation of various layers of fascia and muscle with our without the application of oil, and can include therapeutic techniques to help promote muscle relaxation, destress and general well being.

Evan Vandersluys RMT is a 2018 Graduate of Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT). His studies provided classroom education covering many common conditions and treatment modalities as well as in-depth studies of human anatomy and physiology. The school curriculum also included cadaver lab field trips as well as introductions to various advanced massage modalities such as manual lymph drainage.

As part of his hands-on education, Evan also participated in a variety of outreach opportunities in the local communities. Through experiencing a variety of different clinical environments in an outreach setting, Evan honed his manual skills on various population groups such as university athletes, elderly, cross-fitters, special needs and the general public via school clinic.

MASSAGE THERAPY TECHNIQUES

Evan combines a variety of modalities into his treatments which can include:

In addition, through introductory courses offered in school and after graduation, Evan has developed an interest in myofascial techniques and manual lymph drainage. An introduction to these modalities has given Evan a keen interest in exploring further post-graduate education to learn more about how this can help clients.

MASSAGE THERAPY TREATMENTS

As a recent graduate, Evan has experience with numerous conditions and pathologies. Evan can help with anything from musculoskeletal conditions such as strains and sprains to systemic conditions such as stress reduction, pregnancy and fibromyalgia.

Evan brings with him over 5 years of experience of teaching in overseas in Japan as well as advanced knowledge in Pacific and Asian studies, particularly Japanese language, history and culture.
